The Holy Trinity Academy Knights are a Tier 2 (749-1249 enrollment) team that formally competed in the Big Rock league, but now compete as an independent team. The Knights play an exhibition schedule against the best teams in southern Alberta (Lethbridge, Raymond, Medicine Hat, Cardston, Catholic Central (Lethbridge) and Foothills Composite). The Knights have a reputation for fielding hard-nosed teams that are always competitive year in and year out.

Recently, the Knights have been Tier 2 Provincial finalists since 2018, winning the Provincial Championship in 2019 and again in 2022. In both season, the Knights were honored as the #1 ranked small school football team in Canada by CanadaFootballChat.com.

Head coach, Matt Hassett, has been at the helm for the past 18 years. The football team does several events throughout the season to build team unity, such as, weekly pre-game dinners, rookie talent show night, chapel and Sunday night workouts. In addition, the Knights help out with various community events.

Several former Knights have gone on to play in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL), university football in Canada (U Sports), in the United States (NCAA) and in the CFL. The Knights have two Alumni playing in the CFL, Charlie Power (University of Saskatchewan) plays for the Calgary Stampeders and Ryder Stone (Dartmouth, NCAA Div. 1) played for the Montreal Alouettes. The Knights also have a Alumnus Nick Wiebe who played in the PAC 12 for the Oregon Ducks and former QB Cameron Fietz who played for the University of Arizona.
